John Fieno is a post-doctoral fellow in the International Development Group at Research Triangle Institute in Washington. His research interests are public finance and international public health, with an emphasis on capacity-building, human resources and HIV/AIDS. He is currently examining the cost and effectiveness of scaling-up adult male circumcision programs for HIV prevention. His doctorate is in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the International AIDS Economics Network.
